Lee County Schools' Cadet Squadron, is a Civil Air Patrol squadron, which is an auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Civil Air Patrol has four missions, emergency services support, aerospace education, cadet programs and support of the Homeland Defense mission of the Air Force. The unit was reorganized as a schools cadet squadron on or about 15 April 2004. For the ten years prior the unit was known as Dolphin Flight, Lee County Cadet Squadron.
For the 2007-2008 school year Lee County Schools Cadet Squadron will meet on Thursday evenings from 1830 hrs (6:30 p.m.) to 1830 hrs (8:30 p.m.).
The Air Force Auxiliary provides the opportunity for students that have either entered the 6th grade and obtained age 12 to participate in the adventure. Students that are in the program are referred to as cadets.
